Yep, you heard right: I’ll be married in 8 days and a few hours.

Friday, May 19th, Meg and I will be having a very private ceremony atop Philadelphia’s City Hall Tower, directly beneath good ol’ Willie Penn. Afterwards, we’ll be headed to Fork in Old City to have a 25 person dinner, in the fancy schmancy “large group” room that we reserved. The “magic 25″ will consist of family and very close friends.

Bright and early on Saturday May 20th, we’ll be headed out to the burbs to engage in TONS of work and running around like crazy people in order to get ready for the reception which begins in the early evening. We’re expecting around 140 people. We’ll have a tent, tons of food, lots of booze, friendly folk, japanese lanterns and porta potties, which is basically everything I ever dreamed of in a wedding reception.

At this point, I still need to buy a shirt and tie to wear during the ceremony, and some other odds and ends. For the most part, though, I think we’re in pretty good shape.

And then, it’s off to Italy for 11 days. With any luck, we’ll avoid any international incidents.
